Situated at an elevation of 6,500 feet above the sea-level and 25 kilometers away from Katmandu city, Kakani is popular for panoramic mountains views of Annapurna (8091m), Manasalu (8156m), Ganesh Himal (7446m), Lantang lirung (7245m) and 20 other mountains over 6000 meters above sea level It is also famous for plenty of terraced fields. You can also see the natural beauty of Kathmandu valley, the people and their culture and tradition, short hiking are made possible from Kakani.
From Kakani the trail leads to the east along graveled motor-able road. The entire trail goes on a level path where can be seen numerous picnic spots and small village en route. We hike for about three hours to Bhanjyang with about 20 minutes steep climb before we reach there. A few hours strolling around here and having packed lunch, we retrace the same way back to Kakani in about two and half hours and drive back to Kathmandu. Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.
Drive to Kakani Bazzar and sightseeing there. Kakani is destination for the picnic and on the way one can observe various types of jungle hubs and plants with the heart touching tunes of birds. As soon as you reach on Kakani hill station - sightseeing of the surrounding where one can take a breath taking view of high snow-capped mountains with natural beauty and the Thai Memorial peaceful park which commemorates the 113 victims of a 1992 Thai airlines crash and sightseeing of the village, where one can enjoy the close view of daily lifestyle of the Tamangs ethnic group. After sightseeing we return to Kathmandu.

The best seasons for tour / hiking in Nepal will from January to May and September to December through the year. But from June to August will stays Monsoon in Nepal so there might be a lot of rains in the city and cloudy in the mountains.
The climate of Nepal is as varied as its geography. The low-lying Terai has a sub-tropical monsoonal climate. The Himalaya where most of our treks take place, are best in the cool dry season from September to May. The traditional trekking season in Nepal is late September to December, with October and November generally recognized as having the best weather. Spring is also a popular time of year with warmer weather and the advantage of seeing spring flowers and rhododendrons in bloom. The visibility is good and days are pleasantly warm, although nights can be cold, and snow is possible above 3,000 meters.
This trekking is likely to have a wide range of temperatures depending on the altitude and the time of day. In the mountains up to 3,500m the nights will be cool, normally around 5 degree C, and during the day temperatures sometimes rise to 25 degree C. At higher altitudes temperatures range from about 15 degree C to -10 degree C.
